Mithras: Works for Electroacoustic Ensemble– 6/26, 2026

A rare collection for small ensembles, and soloists compiled and manipulated into an extensive and dramatic tapestry of vast, orchestral noise-scapes, improvised vibrations, and detailed compositions. Utilizing sounds created and recorded in a host of unique, international locations including a beach in La Paz, a parking garage in Düsseldorf Airport, a cave passageway at Tent Rocks National Monument, the UNM collaborative performing arts center construction site, this collection presents a unique quality of electro acoustic, brooding noise, and periodic apparitions of musical gesture along with something like traditional Romanticism underpinning cascades of chattering and blistering walls of sound. Flowing from the surreal into scenes of wild abandon and volatile, shifting tragedy, this is a collection released through Perineum Pines Products that lives in several worlds of sound, and several worlds of positive and negative energy.
